CHILLI CHICKEN using CHILLICHICKEN MASALA

I know every one like this chinese dish..when ever we order from outside, this will be one of the dish..i love this ...when i went for vaccation, i bought chilli chicken masala from kerala...normaly i make without using masala...that recipe will be shared next time....so enjoy this delicious chillichicken...NB: this one is with bones, u can try this with boneless tooo....

Ingredients: 

     
1. Chicken 
1/2 kg
2. Onion     
1 big ( diced)
3. Capsicum  
1 no ( diced)
4. Green chillies
5. Cornflour      
3 tsp
6. Chilli chicken masala
2 tsp
7. Ginger
1 inch ( finely chopped)
8. Garlic
8 nos   ( finely chopped)
9. Egg  
1 no
10.Salt
as req
11.Soya sauce ( dark)  
3 tsp
12.Red chilli sauce
1 tsp
13.Tomato ketchup  
1tblsp
14. Water      
1 cup
  

Method: 

1. The first step u have to do is to manigrate the chicken pieces with, 2 tsp of cornflour, egg ( just beat it with spoon), 1 tsp of chilli chicken masala, 1 tsp of soya sauce and salt.....and keep this aside for half an hour..

2.Then heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the chicken pieces and keep aside... 
      
                       
 3. In a wok or a kadai, heat little oil, add ginger and garlic which are finely chopped, and saute..
 4. When its slightly browned, add the diced onion and green chillies ( cut in lengthwise) ...






5.When the onion get tender or pink, add the diced capsicum and saute well for 1 minute
 6. Now add 1tsp of chillychicken masala,  2 tsp of soya sauce , chilly sauce, and tomato ketch up...just saute for a while and then add 1/2 - 1 cup ( if u require gravy just add more water)...



7. Once the water gets boiled, add the chicken pieces..and saute ...
After adding water




8. Dissolve 1 tsp of cornflour in 2 tblsp of water...
 9.Add this cornflour solution to the chicken and saute well...





 

10. Chilli chicken is ready...have it with naan, roti, noodles...

  1. Superb Resmi.. Ettan's fav.. we make it almost the same way.. One thing typically added in Chinese dish is Ajinomoto - you can add just 1 or 2 pinch of that too..

    1. I have heard that Ajinomoto is main source for cancer...so i avoided that...i forgot to mention that it can also be added to make it a perfect chinese dish....
