RIBBON PAKODA WITH PUTTU PODI


                   As i was thinking of making any snacks, ribbon pakodas got into my thoughts..but i was having only puttu podi ( this rice flour  pwded  with tiny grains) ..and more over it was not enough for my next time making of puttu..so made the ribbon pakodas...and i liked it as the little grains in it made it more crispy...the colour is looking brown ..bcoz ..the rice flour used were of chemba rice....so try it and tell me...u can do this same with nicely pwded rice and sure it will taste good

                                       


INGREDIENTS: 


1. RICE FLOUR ( CHEMBA PUTTU PODI)  : 1 CUP

 2. BESAN ( KADALA MAVU)                        : 1/2 CUP

 3. RED CHILLI PWD                                        : 2 TSP

 4. SESAME SEEDS ( ELLU)                             : 1/2 TSP

 5. BUTTER ( MELTED)                                      : 1TBLSP

 6. SALT                                                               : TO TASTE

7 . WATER                                                            : FOR BINDING

8. OIL                                                                   : FOR FRY


                                                      

                                                      METHOD : 

 

  • Add all the ingredients together and make a smooth dough of it...the dough must not be too hard nor too soft.
  • In a sewa nazhi ( used for making kondattams and idiyappam)..choose the right cutting chillu  and put some dough into it ....press the handle over hot oil as shown...






  • fry the pakodas still it becomes crispy..
  • Take out the pakodas and place it on a tissue paper
