This is my second item with jackfruit ..though this is not with fruit but its with seed...mostly in kerala , we used to make dry subji/ mezhuku puratti..i luv tht...though cleaning the seed is little long term process...but when thought of the taste...i was ready for the effort...and more over i was having a guest.." jeeju"...and he said its perfect!!!! tht was enough na...so try this frnds...
Ingredients:
2. Jackfruit seeds : 2 cups 3. Shallots : 1 cup 4. Garlic pods : 8 nos 5. Pepper corns : 1 tsp 6. Coriander Pwd : 3 tsp 7. Red chilli Pwd : 1 tsp 8. Turmeric Pwd : 1/4 tsp 9. Salt : To taste 10. Water : 1 cup 11. Curry leaves : 3 stems 12. Oil 2 tsp |
METHOD :
- Clean the chakka kuru / jack fruit seed and remove the skin and cut into 4 in lengthwise , add this seed to chicken together with coriander pwd, chilli pwd , turmeric pwd ,tomatoes, salt and water for cooking...
- Crush shallots. garlic pods and pepper corns together....
- Heat oil in a kadai, add crushed items and saute well, once the onion gets browned , add thr cooked chicken to it.
- saute well until oil comes out..
