This is the wheat version of maida parotta....Though it consumes time ..but once in a while okee...so avoid the maida and have wheat ...good combination with any curries..Here the recipe
Ingredients:
Atta / Wheat flour ~ abt 3 cup
Egg ~ 1 No
Curd ~ 2 tblsp
Salt ~ As needed
Ghee / oliveoil ~ 1/2 cup
Water ~ 1-2 cup
Method:
1. Add salt, curd ,egg and water to whear flour and knead well and make a smoooooooth dough..( Take care using water...)2. Keep this aside for 1 hr by applying ghee over it...
3. After an hr, again knead the dough well and make rolls of it
4. Now make chappathies of each once
5.Apply ghee over the chappathies and fold it like we do while wearing sarees
6.Then roll it as shown in the picture
7. Now do as we make chappathies....always take care that..pressure given now must be less..other wise the layers will get messed up..
8. Heat a tawa and cook one side of the parathas...apply ghee over it.. u can use ollive oil instead of it...
9. When one side is cooked, flip it to other side...the flame must be in medium...give a press with the spatula
otherwise , it will be difficult to get cooked inside too..
10. Once cooked take it out from tawa and wait for a minute to cool , then pat the sides of the parattas with ur hands so that the layers gets slightly detached form each other...
NB: I have used very less ghee ...if u ppl likes ghee / oil ,,, then use little more so that the paratta taste yummy and crispyyyyyyyyyy
