AYILA CURRY ( FISH CURRY)

MANGA ITTU AYILA CURRY/ MACHERAL FISH WITH MANGO

                     My hus is fond of fish ...but my son is extremely opposite..and me in a moderate ..i luv fish fries only..so this curry is spl for my hus...i knw most of all knw this type of cooking...still .....here the recipe is...

 

 INGREDIENTS:

1. FISH                                   : 4 NO:S
2.RAW MANGO                   : 2NO:S
3. GINGER                            : 1 inch ( thinly sliced)
4. GREEN CHILLIES            : 4 NO:S
5. CURRY LEAVES               : 4 Stems
6.RED CHILLI PWD             : 1 1/2 Tsp
7. CORIANDER PWD           : 1  1/2 Tsp
8. TURMERIC PWD              : 1/2 Tsp
9. COCONUT GRATED        : 1/2 of the portion
10. SALT                                : To taste
11. COCONUT OIL               : 2 Tsp



                                               METHOD: 

 

1. In a clay pot / meen chatti...put fish, red chilli pwd and turmeric pwd,green chillies, ginger ,curry leaves , salt and 1 tsp oil and with hand just saute it , so tht all gets mixed up..remember ..stove is not in ON position

2.Make a paste of coconut and coriander pwd 



3. Add the coconut paste into the fish mixture and add req amount of water to it and now switch on the stove... and close it with a lid..
  4.Once the curry gets boiled up..rotate the whole pan..and put the flame in sim ...and just give a boil ..thts enough...switch off the stove and add 1 tsp oil and remaining curry leaves to it...serve after 2 or 3 hrs...fish curry taste good only after hrs...:)...best with rice...
