BOONDI LADOOS

                 Ladoosss...thts my weakness..my mil always keeps her fridge with sweats esp the ladoos during may...as we visit kerala during tht time...everyone in my frnds circle knws how crazy im abt ladoos..now i got a follower ...thts my son...one of our frnd gave me the recipe ...she told how to make it...at last i started to make my own ladooosss...yummyyyy!!!!!!..here the recipe for u all together with picsssss....

INGREDIENTS:

1. BESAN ( kadala mavu )                        : 250 gms
2. SUGAR                                                  : 750 gms
3. WATER                                                  : 1/2 cups
4. ROASTED CASHEW                            : 2 tblsp
5. ROASTED KISMISS                             : 2 tblsp
6. SUGAR CANDY ( kalkandam/ missri) : 1 tblsp
7. CAMPHOR ( pacha karpooram )         : 1 small piece
8. GHEE                                                     : 1 tsp
9. CARDOMOM PWD                              : 1/4 tsp
10. YELLOW FOOD COLOUR                : A Pinch

                                                    METHOD

 

 





1. Make a solution of besan and its consistency must be not too thick nor too thin..as shown in the pic..it must be free falling ..keep it aside

2.  In thick bottom vessel ,add sugar and water and keep the heat to sim and stir continously with a spatula..the sugar will melt and forms sugar syrup...



 3. Take the syrup in ur finger and if thr is thread formation ..thts the consistency of sugar syrup..

 4. Add elaichi pwd to the syrup



 5. Add colour to the syrup

6. Mix well ..give a boil and switch off the stove..the next procedure must be done tht time itself..bcoz the syrup must be hot..so in another kadai ..heat the oil..



7.  Pour the besan mix on a kannappa ( spatula tht have holes) ..the boondis will fall into the hot oil 
8. This is how the boondhis r fried up...just saute for 1 min

 


9. Put this fried bhoondies into the syrup and mix well..repeat this procedure for complete besan solution..by tht time the bhoondies will absorb all the syrup...
10. Add the sugar candy to the warm mix...u can see the boondis after absorbing whole syrup..




11.  Add roasted cashew and kismiss to the mix
 12. Add ghee at last.......

 
 
 
13. Take one piece of this camphor in hands and it will melt ...then mix tht to all the mix ..tht piece is enough for the smell to whole mixture
14. Make ladoos from the warm mixture itself...
